Thank you all. I checked Keir's last bone marrow biopsy results (the flow cytometry stuff) and there was a 24 hour turnaround, but - I guess because it was good - we didn't hear for a week. So thanks to those of you scraping me off the ceiling once more.

Keir feels good - like "myself" as he tells me. He is aching to see some of the new movies but is keeping busy. It's supposed to snow here in Chicago on Monday and we are due at Rush at 7 a.m. On a good morning, I am lucky to get up to breathtaking speeds of 10 miles an hour on the Eisenhower, so I'm trying to decide if we need to leave at 4 or 4:30 a.m. It's tricky - you want to be behind the salt trucks but in front of the people who panic at the first sign of a flake..

I'm still pretty nervous about everything. If we get through Monday unscathed - no unexpected biopsy news, the bufulsan test dose, the pulmonary test and a chest x-ray - he should be admitted Thursday.

Seeing him looking so good - hair growing back and feeling so strong - it is sometimes still too surreal for me to quite absorb. But this board was clearly an angel magnet and please know each and every one of you are mensches of the first degree and in my prayers daily.

Hi Lori, as we have mentioned before we both seem to be on a very close path. My husband has completed all his pre bmt testing except for the bone marrow biopsy which will be next month. All the tests have been fine but I am holding by breath until the biopsy is done, I try not to worry but that is easier said than done. Still worry they will day "nope" have to start all over now. He is supposed to be admitted on the 23rd and receive his transplant on the 30th. Sending good thoughts to you and Keir for smooth sailing.

We got the preliminary bone marrow results and they are good.

But then we got the news that the transplant doctor wants to postpone at least two weeks because of Keir's heart issue. He wants him on the medication that long and then re-do the test to see if it improves.

I am very shattered.

Sorry to hear about the delay, but it probably a good thing that his doctor is playing it safe. I am sure doctors have seen this before and want to ensure Keir the best possible outcome. Sending a hug and good thoughts to you both.

Please keep the faith -- your doctor is playing it safe. Hopefully the medication will help. However, just being off the chemo for another two weeks could be the medicine that he needs. His body just needs to heal a bit more. There is an optimal amount of exercise that he should be getting -- not too much -- I know that he is high on exercise, and it is important, but it is possible to over-do it.

Mine also was delayed for a couple weeks, I cannot remember the exact case but it was very frustrating. I am sure they are just being extra careful and the stronger Keir goes into it, the better he will be. He will get there, thank God for good bone marrow results!
