Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group
Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.
My family is praying for you. Haplos ate becoming more common. My med team in SLC, UT ate really happy with the increased graft vs leukaemia they are seeing. Although I have not experienced SCT it sure seems that everyone's experience is unique. Praying SCT is the cure for you and that you have many years beyond 41. May almighty God grant you peace and comfort.

Ditto Julie's sentiments. There is light at the end of the tunnel and you will ACE your last test! It is truly onward and upward from here as you regain your strength and your good health! What a glorious day!

This is the hard part and it will end and you will begin to feel better. Just keep looking straight ahead.

My heart goes out to both of you. That memory is still very fresh in my mind. I was Bu/Cy as well and the Cytoxin was not a fun process.
You guys are both near or coming out of the nadir, which is the low point for sure.
Don't feel bad about feeling bad. Keep in mind this is a calculated near fatal poisoning of your body with specific purpose. It is a rough road to healing, but it is worth it!
Prayers are coming non stop from us out here for both of you.
