Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group
Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.

I have had two viruses in the last three month, both lasting more than 4 weeks and I am careful. My son was working at a day camp and my daughter is a nanny, so I worry about what comes in on their clothing or body.. I feel like my only safe zone is my house. Since I get treatments still, I feel like I live a life of neutropenia, but I would rather be ultra careful.
We also have crazy home rituals.Purell is everywhere, but I remind my family that it's not a replacement for washing hands, just an added security.
Also, be sure to get your flu shots everyone.
Stay well. Peace,
Andrea
