Thanks I just feel very awkward wearing them. I have had this Urinary problem all my life however in the Six months it has gotten a lot worse I have a dr app in October and I am really nervous about it

I wouldn't be that nervous about the doctors appointment. The fact that they are willing to wait 3 months means that they are not too worried about it. It could just be prostatis, which can be cleared with medicine. Sure, it is difficult when the condition worsens, but as long as you have a decent support network in place (family, etc.) no one needs to be the wiser. It is something that lots of men go through, some earlier and some later.

It’s just mental tough I guess for me I am trying to get used to the diaper wearing however it is something I am going to have to get used to I appreciate your time thank you

for me the fear is in trying to get a gal who can understand....I am single....I have had issues since lithotripsy surgery to remove kidney stone.....it messed me up ....

I had to start wearing diapers full time when I was 42. At first I was like so many others, concerned about how they will work for my active life style. My urologist had me try all the medications, self cathing, Foley Catheters and even Botox injections into the bladder and nothing helped. So far diapers have been the saving grace to allow me to live the quality of life and active life that I live. yes I was concerned that someone might see/hear my diaper, but what I found is that we notice our diapers because we are scared about it and others don't notice it. Diapers to me is just my underwear. Most people wear all kinds of diffeent underwear and no one ever says anything about it, so as long as I don't push my diaper into someone's face they never noticed. Every year I MC a large event where I am up in front of 400+ people and no one has noticed. I have walked in several 5k walks and even been in and around very large crowds as well as flying and taking vacations in Washing DC where everywhere you go your bag gets scanned or checked. Even at those times, no one said anything about my spare diapers in my bags.

This year I have been in and out of the hospital for procedures and surgery and always wore my diaper and took my own extra diaper. Never once did anyone say anything about it. In fact I went into surgery in a damp diaper and they never took it off.

Do any of you wear for bowel loss also. That takes getting used to, and one needs to wear protective pants and plastic briefs to control bowel odor in public.

I realise that your original post is a year ago so I hope things are better. Lots of good advice.
I think we are more conscious of/worried about wearing protection than we should be. Never has anybody asked me if I was ‘wearing a nappy!’ If they did I would say ‘yes’ and tell them why. End of issue!
At the end of the day it’s a medical issue and we need to manage it in whatever way is best for us.
For me it is adult diapers/nappies/briefs, call them what you will
