Abstinence question

Hi guys I have a question about abstinence I’m hoping you could answer. In a relationship when is the right time to tell someone you are practicing abstinence. I don’t want to tell someone to soon but I also don’t want to wait for it to be to late as in we were already about to have sex. If someone could answer this question I would appreciate it.

Seems to me like that conversation should be compatible with the early stages of the first hot and heavy make-out session.

It also seems to me that every relationship is and needs to be unique. Your own instincts are a better guide than any outsider opinion.

I think arfie gave you a good guideline. It's important to be true to yourself and not be pushed into a sexual relationship if you desire to practice abstinence. The person who will love you and want to be with you long term will appreciate who you are so don't be afraid to bring up your convictions. If they like you they will respect all of you.

I am person who like to ask hypothetical questions. You can ask your partner will you ever consider dating someone who is practicing celibacy. When your partner begins to answer pay attention to the body language and patterns, before they form an answer to come out of their mouth. That will determine whether or not if you should continue on with dating your partner. Mouths tell lies body language doesn't.

didnt know there was a Abstinence group, could understand its purpose if i was a teen. but if your an adult dont understand it at all. maybe i shouldn't be here, but it would be nice to understand your point of view. The answer to the above question is simple , the whole purpose of dating is to know how compatible you are with a potential life partner, that includes sexual needs and compatibility. if your goal is to not explore these compatibility's then they better know the sooner the better. that way they have the choice to whether they feel they should pursue further.

    I did the dumbest thing today.  I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds.  I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym.  What a dummy!
