I had a 'meeting in my house' tonight and the message was to stand strong in my belief and to stick with the winners.

I salute the fact that the obsession to drink has been lifted and today I can deal with issues and feelings and come out the other side.

That is a miracle :)

went to a newcomers meeting... which was brilliant meeting..then at the end they have a question and answer session for newcomers which i think is very positive...

Went to a noon meeting today. After the meeting, I sat down with a newcomer and shared some of my story with her. She was crying while she was talking to me. You know, sometimes, all another person needs to feel a part of is compassion.

P11 AA meeting @ 8pm tonight :)

I just got in from my meeting, I signed up to bring cake to my home group's annual barbeque....now I just have to think of a name for it, people that I work with call it "orgasmicake", can't put that on the sign up sheet!!! DOH! :)

I went to my noon meeting as i do every day M-F unless another appointment.
Tonight I will be picking up my sponsee and attending the oldest meeting in town from 8-9 PM. Lots of good sobriety one guy 49 years. It's a podium meeting and has met every week since April 1953. First time I walked into the meeting I was swarmed with love and attention as they thought I was a newcomer After soaking it up for awhile I let them know I'd been around a few 24s and they still smothered me with love and attention. Family no other way to describe it.

didnt go tonight,been everyday since saturday...gonna hit one tomorrow....it was na tonight....i think i identify better with the alcoholics where i go..........

Missed the lunch sess today, been on the road this morning. I like the Friday ones, the rooms always filled. Good to hear Hokte, keep it up. :}

Seen a first to night since being in recovery a mother/daughter came in tonight for the 1st time.
1st step/3rd tradition and a lot ESH. Daughter out of rehab 2 months sober looked OK mom was not well, real hopelessness through all the tears they said they will be back and got many quality women phone numbers. We spoke a lot about the effect and the disease and Oh ya there not alone.

Just got home. Turned out to be a newcomer meeting. The first half of the meeting she had Kleenex stuck to her face from tears. Then one of our old timers spoke and before she new what was happening she was crying but from laughing. She left with a smile.

Going at noon, and it's my sponsors meeting and it's a speaker meeting. I am always interested to hear peoples stories, as it reminds me of where I was, or shows me where I can be with a bit more sobriety. It's also fascinating to finally hear the stories of people that have been the the same room with you for months and months and maybe just talk about daily stuff, and all of a sudden...BAM!! And you think, "wow...I had NO idea".
