  I'm wondering if the lying part of me isn't part of something bigger.  Am I lying because I have a deeper, more rooted cause for dishonesty?  I certainly don't intend to lie; it's not a conscious act.  So what is causing it all?  Has anyone out there sought help for something deeper than this?  I'm thinking maybe a codependent support group, which meets in person, might help.  I wrote my partner a long letter, which I laid out everything and traced my lying tendencies all the way back to...

  Hello, because of my cumpulsive and impulsive lying I am at a desperate place in my relationship.  I lie primarily about money, but my ex-wife is also a part of it.  Most recently I lied to my current partner about conversations my ex-wife and I had about money, and the lie was found out.  Needless to say, it all sucked.  As I reflected on this most recent issue, I began to realized that lying has been a habitual problem with me (I probably knew this all along, but have buried that...
