  My mommy is dead. I'll never hear her voice or feel her arms around me, or anything else ever again. I'm on an airplane, flying back to Seattle. And I'm struck by how, in my grief and despair, life is going on all around me. I'm sitting in the window seat and there are 2 younger men (late 20's, early 30's?) next to me. Currently, they're taking about their young children. The stages their babies are in. What their babies are doing emotionally, physically. But. They're ALL young, Dads included....

  She died 9 days ago. She just didn't wake up. She had been ill, but nothing warranting any concern about her possibly dying. It truly was out of the blue. My mom was a force of nature, loving, strong, she had the biggest and most compassionate heart, she is mourned by many. I'm devastated and have never felt so much pain in my entire life. Everyone is saying "I'm here for you", but no one is answering my calls or returning my efforts to reach out. The loneliness is palatable. I do talk to my...

  I'm having trouble moving forward after a 7 year relationship with a sociopath. We've been married for 5 years, but, obviously, not happily. The final straw was, after a year long separation, I let him back into my world and things ended violently.I moved to a different state to "start over" and was making big strides during our year apart.
