Week 1 Gamble Free

I can't believe it has been 7 days gamble free.  It was a very hard week for me.  I was having severe withdrawals and having anxiety about spending the first Mother's Day without my beloved Momma.  But I made it through the stress without gambling.  It took every bit of energy not to go gamble away the pain.  I kept busy on my trigger days Friday and Saturday.  I prayed to my higher power to keep me on the right path.  I read inspirational posts here on Daily Strength.  Felt the love and support from my family here and my family at home.  But most of all my eyes are open to all that has been missing in life.  The casino is not my life.  I have a choice today to enjoy my life gamble free. Take care xoxoxo Chargergirl

good for you. holidays are \'trigger\' days, especially when we aren\'t doing what we would like to be doing: spending time with family and friends or whatever. so, that used to be my excuse to go gamble on holidays...

so good for you for not giving into the \'pull\' yesterday. whew!

hang in there one day at a time. I used to have to say everyday: \'I will not gamble today\" no matter what. and some days are still more difficult than others. I was off work today, with a little money, and that once was my \'day off\' activity. going early in the morning and spending all the time I wanted out there. not so today! whew!

congratulations on 7 gamble free days..............that is huge!
