Wasted a day
My probation officer wanted me to go to once a month meetings instead of biweekly. But after talking a bit, we decided to stick with biweekly just in case I'm heading into a mixed episode.
At group Tuesday, one of the other probationers pulled me aside to tell me she was having a manic episode and didn't know what to do. She said the doctor wouldn't move up her appointment, and she was afraid she was going to get worse before seeing him. We talked a bit. She was spending money and only sleeping 45 minutes at a time. I asked her if she was delusional yet, and she wanted to know what that was, so I said "Is the tv talking to you?" She said no, but it has done that in the past. It turns out she was on lithium, abilify, and wellbutrin. She had a bottle of 2mg resperdal and wanted to take that because it helped her in the past, especially with sleep. I told her then do it but let your doctor know, and if she gets worse go to the hospital. She sees her doc in 2 weeks. She said she confided in me because she knew I had been through all this before, especially with the doc.
Well yesterday I didn't do anything - I was too wiped out from the day before. Basically I stayed in bed. I felt a some of the depression sneak back in. At least I'm not manic. Went to Victor's house for dinner. Afterwards I picked up some items (wall art, etc.) from his house and he said "quit stealing things." Made me laugh. Considering all we've been through I'm so glad we're friends.
