Trait 8: We became addicted to excitement.

Trait 8: We became addicted to excitement.

I can relate to this to a degree. I go through sperts in my life where I want to stay home and not do much! Boring is peaceful. But as I got older I wanted more. I remember, before being pregnant, planning the next Friday night with anyone who wanted to hang out and doing something exciting. Party, dinners with games, attend anything that sounded fun that our local bar was doing, any thing that involved being social with my firends and kept my mind in that excited state.

In reality, I dont think it was me searching for real excitement though... I think it was my depression making me act as if I wasnt depressed, but giving a costum of an outgoing, fun-loving, exited woman who just wanted to have fun.

Now that things have slowed down, I realize... my want for excitement and fun was actually hurting me in the long run and maybe even my family. i always wanted to go, go, go... but never somewhere that may be boring or uneventful!

As a child I always wanted to be a part of the hype. Parents and grandparents got together to smoke a million cigarettes and play cards? I asked if I could play... when I was told no (everytime) I just pretended I was the family dog and laid under the table of which the shinanigans was taking place. I was so comfortable being the dog under that noice, fun-filled table I'd fall asleep and have to be carried to bed!

Any small achievements I made growing up, I needed to share with anyone who would listen in hopes it would "call for a celebration!" ... majority of the time it was brushed off and I learned that achievements are appreciated most by those who accomplish them, but they were mine!

Note: My blue "mood face" below is always a seemingly straight face... because usually- that really is my mood... lol.
