Time rolls on

Hey guys,
I did finish my 4 day continuing Ed course on Sunday. It was truly an amazing time and I'm so glad I went. I do believe it was perfectly orchestrated and it gave me an opportunity for healing and also it brought out my compassion for others. My compassion for others (since Justin's death) has expanded and not just for other mothers who have lost children. I just feel tremendous love for everyone. How wonderful is that! Maybe it will pass but I hope not.

Anyway back to the course. I am a massage therapist for 18 years but this course was my third in the Craniosacral series. If you haven't heard of this, look it up. I truly believe that these types of experiences can help us heal. I was nervous the 1st day because I was afraid I may become too emotional but it worked out. I had several friends there and they stayed close by for support as they knew what happened to Justin. I love my friends. They hold me up when I need it but leave me alone when I am strong. A friend of mine from Huntsville stayed with me and we had a blast sitting in my deck in the evening. There was a 90 minute yoga class on Friday night . It was called Yoga Nidre. Really cool! I felt kind of guilty for enjoying myself so much. How weird is that? I didn't want Justin to think I had forgotten about him. But I'm sure he's busy in heaven with lots of fun stuff.

More later guys! I just wanted to check in.
Love,
Deanie

Deanie, it is wonderful to hear that this course was just what you needed! After losing a child healing is what it is all about. Even when you are the healer giving healing, it is healing to both parties. Good friends are a blessing! Thanks for the update, Leda/MomofJosh

Many moms (myself included) have felt a bit of guilt to enjoy anything. But you haven\'t forgotten Justin...so no worries there. I always say...enjoy what you can !!

I have no doubt this class presented itself at the perfect right time for you. What an amazing thing to be able to add to your massage work and my massage therapist that I used to have for years in Utah did this work on me. It always tapped into a part of me that I didn\'t realize was shut down and the tears would flow and then I felt so incredibly aligned and balanced till the next time when she\'d work on Humpty Dumpty again... :)

I remember the very \"first\" time on this path that I realized that my son was not the first thought in my mind. It took me by surprise and I too felt some guilt till the moms here reassured me that I carry Douglas in my heart always and that a mother\'s heart will NEVER forget.

Gentle care as you experience the ebbs, flows, and automatic pilot times on this path and know that each are what they need to BE for now.

Loving care dear Deanie,

XO Joanie

Good to hear that your course went well & that you even received a bit of healing yourself. Keep up the good work.
