Woke up feeling like crap.  Really bad sinus headache.  I am getting allergy alert emails in January...very weird weather here. Shortly after I felt a little queasy..but with the extent of the headache and guessing that it's probably all draining into my stomach that was no surprise.  Trying(there's that try word again) not to let it send me into an anxiety attack.  Now I am at work and waiting for the ibuprofen to kick in for the headache part.  My stomach is doing flip flops.   seriously annoying.
It is week two of the semester and I am taking two classes this time.  So far I am keeping up with the work load.
My mom called Tuesday night.  Her old gelding Jim has cancer and must be put down.  She was very upset on the phone.  It is very similar to the cancer that my own horse had years ago.  Fair horses such as paints and appaloosas do not do well in the desert sun.  My mom will be 68 in April and she has osteoporosis.  She just told me last week that she tore her knee cleaning horse stalls and must have surgery in February.  In some ways I feel it is meant to be.  Still,  it hits very close to home and even after all these years I miss my Blaze terribly.  If you do not have horses you may not be aware of what is involved when they have to be put down.  It is not legal to bury a horse here.  If you are lucky enough to know someone who has construction equipment and have a secluded spot you could still get it done.  If not, well you not only have to arrange the vet to administer the drug but you also have to arrange for the dump truck to come take your beloved pet away.  There is nothing more horrible to me than watching them be loaded like trash into the dump truck.
Here is a picture of me and Blaze from Years ago..
Here is mom's beloved Jim.  Today will be an awful day.

I\'m so sorry for what you have to do...but, it\'s best for your animal.

I know. I hate it that they do not live as long as we do. It\'s not fair.

No it\'s not fair, but it is reality.
