The stillness of the Night
Night again. I always get so lonely at night. You lay there in the dark waiting for sleep to take you. I sleep little, so I get up to do some work or putter on the computer. But at night is the worst for me. The stillness is too much to handle. When I was hospitalized, the room was dead quiet. I sleep for about three hours a night and walked the halls. I use a sound machine now, but you are still there with only your thoughts.
This is a bad time for me; I analyze everything and review where I made mistakes or could have done better.
The night give my psyche license.

do you have a pet? snuggling with a cat or a puppy can help you feel cozy.
Big hug for you Thor..... I'm a reader and I can't fall asleep without reading first.... I get lost in the story until I'm ready for sleep..... xo
BTW I agree with Mark.... Pets can be so therapeutic …. My pooch always sleeps with me.....xo
Pets... I had a dog of ten years that I loved dearly. He died when I was in the hospital. I never said goodbye, I felt sselfishfor concentrating on me and not him.
I am sure 'he or she' would want you to have another critter in your life. Dogs want us to be happy.
I do want a new dog, but the wife says no. I think that we will get one in a few years.
