the internet is real life
i think i spend more time online than i want to, but it's mind-numbing at a time when i need it... still, everyone is on their phone all the time, taking pictures of EVERYTHING and telling everyone where they are and who they are with. i see the lunch or the dinner of at least three friends a day. i know when somebody goes out to a bar or a restaurant because they tell everyone on facebook. why do people need to do this?
i enjoy facebook for the purpose of seeing pictures and hearing about the lives of my friends and family that live far away. and it has its opportunities for spreading humor. but this whole "my life according to facebook" thing is getting out of hand. checking in, hashtags, tagging names pictures of people at events... there is no more mystery and even less privacy. the situation is getting creepy.
