Sympathy Punch

 
wish there was a silly category.........HI,
it's time to make a big batch of Sympathy Punch.
first up, rent an empty clean swimming pool
second step, make gigantic ice cubes, size of large refrigerators.......gotta have well chilled Sympathy Punch
then, ask each invitee to bring virtual ingredients for punch.  Fruit, juice, are we planning to imbibe in virtual alcohol or make virgin punch?  guess this should in all fairness be a committee decision.
all in favor of virtual alcohol say aye, all opposed say nay.
.......sounds like a split decision, i say we use half as much virtual alcohol, but plan to allot twice as long to drink the punch in order to obtain maximum Sympathy Punch Advantage.  Sympathy Punch is made in care of all who struggle with pain.....all kinds.  this event typically turns into a party at some point.
A celebration for all who go through challenges.  The bigger problem we will face is to keep party goers out of the pool as the pool level dips significantly.  This party management team finds it harder to explain to the local constabulary why there are half gassed individuals in a rented pool full of Sympathy Punch.
Last year we tried to tell them it was a pickling process for friends in need, but they......the constables I mean, didn't seem to like this plan nearly as much as those who suggested that pickling pals was a great explanation/act of compassion/big fun!
Seems that there are minor problems with every great party plan........this punch is guaranteed to take you back in time to some foolish moment in your youth..........with every sip of this nectar you will grow younger, stronger and even better looking than you are at this moment........I know, hard to believe that our crew could become even better looking.........but I swear it's true!  la la la.......
oh yes, it has been brought to my attention that ya'll wish to know the dress code.  Bow Ties and Tiaras are required........the following are optional:
Flippers, Diving Masks, Ear/Nose Plugs, Snorkels & Water Wings/Blow up Animal Shaped Floating Devices..........
ooops, forgot to mention that you must wear a suit, (a swimming costume) I thought that was something everyone would know to wear, but after last year's fiasco of party goers arriving covered in goosebumps this year's event committee needs to clarify this point. 
........the pool will have a walk in ramp w/handicapped bars available to stabilize as you enter the punch.  what else?  this is gonna be a silly fun day, and we will have extraordinary entertainment.  we will have The Beach Boys, Chicago, The Four Seasons, and a few more yet to be named.  (working on several big bands......(Benny Goodman, the "King of Swing" in the 30's and others)really exciting) Signed with love by a nutty bird in Georgia
p.s. don't forget to bring stirring paddles to mix the punch.  the bigger the better! 
this is a major pain day........making the sound of the mighty ouch with every step, gotta go back on the ice pack now......hugs!
