So many triggers

I wasn't able to get much time by myself this weekend. Wasn't able to do things that nourish me, like going to bookstores, eating healthy vegan dishes, taking long baths with lots of books, meditating, journaling, guided imagery, affirmations, or taking long nature walks.
Instead it was just one task after another. I hated it.
57 days ago, I would've gambled before and after Saturday and Sunday and all of the activities therein. It would've taken my mind off of things, allowed me to feel like I had a good time of some sort, and granted me time officially for myself and my interests. And taken some of the "edge" off.
I'm back at work today and I can't believe I'm already having to work again. Didn't I just get done working on Friday? Didn't I work all weekend at stupid social functions I didn't want to attend?
Maybe it's being selfish, but I need better coping mechanisms than gambling. I need to learn how to just say no.

or, you can look at it as a blessing, you weren\'t in a casino, you were living your life... that is amazing. That in itself is nurturing. Keep moving forward.
