Sandi, I know that I have to almost constantly work at it to not get back into that really don\'t want to function mode. Finding what makes life enjoyable again is sometimes work. I think I will always have some times when I get really down again. I am sorry you are feeling all the deep grief again. Looks like you have some great liftle people in your life. I know this has been a hard journey for you, but keep taking care of yourself and Hopefully God will continue to see you through. Love and hugs Lynette

I agree with Lynette. Finding new reasons to rejoice in our lives without our children is hard work. Sometimes we simply can\'t do it and then the sadness hits us like a ton of bricks once again.

I do think you will find it a bit easier to recover and lift yourself back up than it was in the very beginning stages. And we\'re right here to listen and encourage you along the way.

With much love and big hugs of comfort and togetherness ~ Debbie

I know how you feel, broken and lost. After loosing my second son Justin 12 yrs. later, I even feel like I lost my identity. I know that everyone in this group understands and I am not all alone, but still seem to feel alone. I pray to God to hold some of my pain and tears. I hope you feel better soon. Everything that you feel is normal or you would not be human. I know we never get over loosing a child. Only time makes it feel less painful. XOX Debbie

I think everything we feel is normal - there is no right or wrong because it\'s all about us/you. For myself, I try to focus on what good I have in my life and what I can be grateful for - and go from there. And trying to do some good - I volunteer drive for American Cancer Society\'s Road to Recovery - and that helps me make some sense of it all.

Sandy, so sorry the sorrow has engulfed you today. No reason why, there are just some terrible, grieving days. Rest, eat well, see some other people, and exercise. Just keeping ourselves together takes all we have. Sending a gentle hug, Abby

Hi Sandi, I have been really struggling in the last couple of days too. I think it is normal...the nature of this grief journey. May the days ahead be gentler for you. Love to you and Ken, Linda

Sandi, Of course this is normal. This is our new normal that we have to struggle with. Everyday I walke up and think, Jackie is gone and I have to get through this day trying not to cry and act like everything is ok when its not ok. February 10th will be 1 year and 9 months and I am a little better but I know in my heart that nothing will ever be the same for me. I have good days and I have bad days, but the bad days last longer than the good ones. Once I get caught up in the loss and pain the grief is so overwhelming its as if it just happened. I hope the days to come are better for you and less painful. Love Gail
