Sick and Tired of being Sick and Tired
I feel like crap. Anxiety? probably.
Last night we found out that one of the kids grandmothers almost died the night before. she had taken an aleve before falling asleep. Something she had never taken before and something she did not know you are not supposed to take with blood pressure meds. Well I guess she is severely allergic. The paramedics told her that if she had waited much longer to call 911 she might not have made it. They kept her the rest of the night and let her go home the next day.
I heard on the news yesterday that a local news woman in the Sacramento area died from the H1N1 flu. As we were getting ready for bed my boyfriend kept coughing and the last thing he said to me before falling asleep was jokingly..because he kept coughing..maybe I have H1N1.
Now why the fuck would he say that knowing that I am loony toons? I had way too much coffee last night. I could not go to sleep and started having anxiety. I think I may have drifted off til the rain woke me around 11. We really needed rain! I got some water and laid back down. I guess I finally fell asleep after that but I didn't sleep well and I had horrible dreams.
I woke with chills and feeling a little nauseated. Usually when it is anxiety getting into the swing of the daily routine will help it fade. So far it has not faded. My stomach is doing little flip flops.
At the end of the day I know I am going to feel really stupid because I know I am not sick, and this will all turn out to be yet another anxiety episode.
I get really sick and tired of feeling sick and tired all the time.

I just had law enforcement look at a video of my neighborhood of what I perceived to be a possible \'threat\', nothing huge but just a threat, and it appears my PTSD is severe enough to cause me to overreact -- I\'m joining with you on the \'high anxiety\' issue it appears.
I setting here after they have left trying to \'fit the pieces together\'. I think when we have had trauma, from health crisis or whatever it may be, there must be the risk of anxiety disorder along with PTSD and such. I think sharing those experiences may be the best way to work through them but as we share it must leave us feeling a bit, as you describe, \'looney tons\' but I think it has its roots in the trauma we have experienced. For me the trauma is current and cumulate, but I\'m adapting to it over time. The police see a \'threat\' as someone standing with a gun on our property and pointing it at is with the intent to cause us harm and my level of perception of \'threat\', from the PTSD, is any \'trigger\' picked up by my senses that even remotely matches previous trauma I have experienced. You have had to cope with major health issues and that, perhaps, does not allow you to take becoming ill lightly? For me it is anything that \'triggers\' my sense of not being safe in a situation that has not felt \'safe\' for years -- today was just awful with triggers and the related stress.
I\'m feeling a lot of empathy for you with this as it is horrible to feel \'unglued\' by these triggers that seem to relate back to previous trauma. I just feel awful that I had the police view a video that only \'appeared\' threating to me -- that is even scary to me and will keep me from ever doing that again and what if there is a \'real\' threat and I am reluctant to share it thinking it is my PTSD -- and then like you I have to conclude, \'anxiety\'.
I know being \'desensitized\' -- but that would involve being \'exposed\' to what triggers the anxiety and you can\'t do that with a contagious illness. I wonder if hypnosis would help or some type of \'thought therapy\'?
