Screwy Insurance Payments
I do ECT every couple of weeks, the cost is pretty high for each session but I should have a co-pay of $31 for each session. So like happened before, I get a bill with about eight ECTs list as services rendered. The co-pay should be 8x31 or $248. But on the detail side, the insurance pays a different amount for each same services and magically come with that only owe $31. I'm happy to discharge my obligation for the lessor amount but it is just amazing that given the same service is treated radically different. This insurance company is passing up a lot of co-pays.

I'm so glad that the cost isn't too much for you Thor.... I think that's what you're saying.... We are so fortunate that our health insurance is paid by taxes.... Our taxes are high but when we need health care we don't have to worry about the cost..... Big hug.....xo
This is true, most Americans have insurance and it allows them to enter the medical profession with choices. My insurance comes from the VA.
At least they pay. My insurance company will not pay much of anything. Then after a high deductible we still have to pay.. Even for wellness visits i have had to pay. its awful and i cant afford to pay thousands to insurance and still afford to see the dr.
This is great, Thor as long as they don’t come back and say you owe the difference. Maybe your insurance changed to cover such costs? I’m happy that your ECT is covered by insurance and is effective for you.
