scan day
Hello dear friends, We had scans this morning and later saw the onocologist. Steve's creatine was too high to have contrast so the scans were not as clear. The report had not been printed but Dr. Amin told us that the kidney tumors were stable!! He said that it could be months before he knew if the radiation worked. He did not change the chemo from sutent but did change the schedule. He will take it 3 weeks and have one week off and start again. He will try that for two cycles and scan again. Steve was somewhat nervous about changing from the sutent. Can you believe that in November he will be on sutent for 5 years!!! He is a record holder on that one.
After we left the cancer center we went over to onocology radiation center. The doctor is confidant that the tumor is zapped. He had 6 weeks of radiation in 5 treatments and I hope he is right about it being gone. Time will tell.
I can't thank everyone enough for the prayers and comments on my journal. It brought me to tears to know that you are behind us in this journey. God bless each of you!

Dear Wanda, this news is a prayer answered for sure. I have a lot of confidence in the radiation treatments today. They do work, and in Steve\'s case, it gave him a big chance to get back on track. I hope he will be stable for a long time to come. This is a good day. Love, Linda
