Quilt
I have been trying to post a picture in this journal, with no success. I click browse and download at the bottom, find the photo, choose it and open it, and it appears on a page with small blue checks...and then nothing. I can go no futher than that. Please walk me through, step by step, to doing this.
I wanted to share a picture of the quilt I am having made from Cassi's tee shirts. It's beautiful and exciting and sad all at once. Seeing the tees she used to wear, I suppose I should have known it would be emotional. But, I'm okay. Had a cry with my sister, and moved on. Pretty sure I will have a similiar reaction when it arrives.
I posted photos of our Facebook FMO site, so you can see it there.
Good news Working Moms...Monday is over!!! One more day before humpday, then it's time to cruise the end of the week.
Could someome please explain the process of posting pics...step by step and easily please, Lol.
Also, Does anyone have an idea of how to display it? It is Queen size. I know there are quilt table things that you thread the quilts through, but I want the entire quilt to be seen. The only idea I have come up with is having my husband build me some type of wooden frame to have the quilt stretched over. Any ideas???
Have a good night Soths,
you all, we all deserve it.
Love,
Gina

Hi Gina,
I saw your post on FB - beautiful quilt and what memories!! I have a quilt (regular- no pictures) that was on Jennifer's bed and often I will snuggle up in it, feeling closer to her when I do. Cassi's quilt is truly beautiful, just like You and your beautiful daughter!
So glad you are coming to the retreat - it will be great to meet you!!
Hugs.....Vicki, Jennifer's mom
After you have chosen the picture scroll down and you will see where you can zoom in, zoom out and the last choice is a "crop and insert." When you select that it crops your picture in the way that you selected and inserts it in your journal entry. Hoping this helps? I even looked on the FAQ at the bottom of this page and they have instructions no how to insert pictures for your avatar and cover page, yet not for a journal.
I'm sure the quilt is filled with so much love and an abundance of feelings too. Wherever you decide to display it will be just right and perhaps it's a "traveling" quilt and just needs to go from room to room where you?
Loving care to Cassi's mom from Douglas and me.
XO Joanie
Hi Gina, such a lovely and loving idea, but so many emotions I'm sure. Glad you are doing ok and that you could let it out with your sister.
I saw your post on FB too and it's beautiful. May the quilt bring you comfort.
Love to you and dearest Cassi, Linda ♡
I don't do Facebook but I bet it's lovely. You could hang it on the wall as is? Or wrap yourself in it and surround your self with Cassi:)
I have talked about getting a quilt made of Mikes stuff, I know someone local who will do it. I cannot bring myself around to the gathering part. To display it : there are wooden shelf with a dowel underneath that will hold a quilt then you can put picture or 2 on the self. Or there is a wooden (do not know its name) you put the top of your quilt in it and the top looks like a fan the rest of the quilt will hang like your drapery I do not know any other way to explain it, if someone understands the description they may have the name for you. You may have seen them in quilt shops for fabric stores.
