Quarantine Life

Can I just say how insane life is! So many twists and turns. You never know what's going to happen. The many times that I contemplated taking my own life...well, I'm glad I didn't. Let me update you on my life.

Since early to mid March we've been in quarantine from the Coronavirus (COVID-19). It is a new and highly dangerous virus with symptoms including:

  • Cough

  • Fever

  • Shortness of breath

  • Muscle aches

  • Sore throat

  • Unexplained loss of taste or smell

  • Diarrhea

  • Headache

It can lead to severe respiratory problems, kidney failure or death. In our country alone, 109,000 people have died from it. Derek and I have been trying our best to keep our son safe. The school was closed, so I didn't have to go in to work. I've been at home with Alex, packing and cleaning it out. We're about to buy our new home soon. I'm very excited about that!

Aside from the global pandemic, here have been protests in every state and all around the world against the racism that still exists today. Trump's presidency has brought out a lot of the white nationalists. I deactivated my Facebook account recently because there's so much toxicity on there. I can't believe some of the things that people post on there. I wonder if they're even human. Being on there made me view friends and family differently. My world is a better place without Facebook.

I joined The Satanic Temple! They are amazingly awesome and supportive. Being a member makes me feel like I'm part of a community that's actually creating change in this world. I'm surrounded by intelligent, motivated, and compassionate people. That makes me extremely happy.

I haven't been able to see my older son in two years. But I communicate with him frequently. I write to him, text him, send him pictures and money. I do what I can to let him know I'm always here for him. Alex and I did play Fortnite with him once, and it was so much fun to do that with both my sons. It warms my heart thinking about it.

My husband and I are stronger than ever. I'm looking forward to our new home we're going to work on together. I would've been missing out on so much if I would've given up on my relationship and this life. I'm glad I'm still alive!
