Poo ba choo!
Two new things...This Friday I am going to my docs to get a Vitamin B shot...After my 6 tubes of blood were taken a few weeks ago the docs discovered I have a vitamin B deficiency. They doc told me this will help my mood and energy. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it works.
Also I was invited to a friends B-day party. I have to honestly admit this is the first B day party, or friend party/celebration of any kind I have been invited to since Elementary school :P I go on vacation all next week and am getting back home the day of the party so I don't know if I will be able to make it.. Also I noticed when I officially got the invitation that this is a bar hopping "party" Ugh...Trying to reach my friend has been difficult, I haven't been told the details because I noticed this invitation said "everything like last year" and I wasn't invited last year lol... I feel it's vital knowing who the DD's (designated drivers) are..And I have this impending feeling of doom there are none. I have no car so fock if I know how I'm supposed to get there...But if there are no DD's then I can't take a ride from one of the other guests...So I have know choice but not to go. I hope my friend is responsible and has this all planned out. I don't want to go bar hopping, but I feel obligated to go and pretend to have fun for him. ....But...I don't want to die or smash up some poor defenseless pedestrian either while in a car with a drunk driver.

well you aren\'t obligated to go, and so I wouldn\'t worry about it. He wanted to ask you because he wanted to have his friends there. It is not uncommon that some won\'t be able to make it. Plans don\'t always fall like that. Your vacation alone is case enough for you to not be able to. I do agree with you on the DD\'s, If you are going out, you MUST have one. Anymore it is simply to dangerous to not. That being said, maybe you could be one? Driving one of the other peoples cars. that way you have a ride and there is atleast one DD there. If it were me and there wasn\'t any, i wouldn\'t go either and would let the friend know that i am not going because there isn\'t one. Might make him think about that even if for a momment :D
I guess I have two things to say in reply:
a) I have my fingers crossed for you as well on the Vitamin B shot. Hopefully they may have some ideas you could try at home too, I think I would be scared if I had to do repeat visits for those shots.
b) Don\'t feel like you need to go if you can\'t get full information about the DDs. Personally, I would be concerned about bar hopping parties myself (I have a personal story I can share with you that may echo your concerns if you want to hear it). If there won\'t be a DD -- or if your friend won\'t tell you -- don\'t be ashamed to pass. It will be for a legitimate reason.
