Out of it

Been so out of it the last week or so.  I was feeling better when the weather was cold and rainy, but now that it has warmed into the 70s, I'm feeling more fatigued and thick-brained.   Its ironic that this beautiful weather in Austin doesn't suit me.   But today is a better day despite the fact that I slept poorly last night.
Going to get outside for a walk in this cool, soft morning.

I\'m so sorry, BRG. :-( that really sux that you had to take a downturn just as the weather is coming of nice. It\'s funny, I\'ve had some pretty good energy days, even though I haven\'t had more than 4-5 hours for the last four nights.

Walks are good. I hope you had a good walk and feel better. xo

Hi, dear. You know, I get to feeling odd in hot weather as well as cold weather. Our temperatures are often unregulated, so they are all over the place. Getting too cold or getting too hot can mess with you. Sometimes I wear a special cloth on my head. You get it wet and then you snap it and it stays cool for hours. It\'s made my Mission. That helps me some. Glad you are getting out in the morning. Keep trying.

Thank you for the encouragement and advice Jack and Triunfadora! I like the idea of the cloth that stays cool for hours. I wonder if it will work in Texas when we get to 100 plus for days and days (or even months!)

I live in the tropics and I am struggling these days to handle the high humidity.I would like to move but it doesn\'t seem possible at present. The last time I was in a cold climate just for a visit , I felt like I was inside a freezer.I agree with Tri that we often have difficulty regulating our body temperature.Sorry you slept poorly that\'s always a hinderance when we\'re trying to heal.Bye Di xo

Back in the day when I was healthy and worked as a cook, we used to put ice in a dish towel and roll it up and tie it around our necks to stay cool in the blazing-hot kitchens. A third of your blood is in your brain at any given moment, so ice around the neck cools all your blood pretty quickly. Not sure if it would be too much for us now, with all our wacky malfunctioning systems...
