New Year! Yay!
Happy New Year! I am super excited for this new year! I will probably be planning my wedding and getting a new tattoo. The first and only tattoo I have is of a butterfly that I drew when I was going through I rough time, deciding what I wanted in life (if I was going to be true to myself and love someone completely different than I'd thought I wanted to be with or stay in a marriage that was going no where but to hell...) I saw this butterfly tattoo on the back of a woman's neck on the internet, and I was so awed by it that I had to draw it. I kept that drawing with me until the right moment. A friend's buddy tatted me up that summer, and by that fall, I made my choice and moved in with the love of my life.
Now, I am just feeling strongly about getting a black and red rose on my upper arm. My father used to give my stepmom a single red rose every anniversary they had. It was endearing and very romantic. They went through a lot, but they were in love. I had never seen my father so in love like he was with her. Then he passed away. And even though it's been almost 9 years, anytime I see my stepmother, I can see the pain in her eyes when she mentions my dad.
I was extremely fortunate to find my guy. I couldn't ask for a better and truer love. No regrets here. I'm finally at peace and happy. :)
