New Year- Extra dose
Well I had planned on writing more hear as one of my new years resolutions. Considering it is already teh 17th I am not off to a good start. It has been unusually busy at work. Usually things slow down at the holidays but this year I am busier than ever. perhaps a sign that the economy is improving? I started my computer hardware class this week. As predicted, I am the only girl in a class of boys who clearly have spent a lot of time gaming and none on physical fitness LOL.
I woke up to anxiety this morning for the first time in a long time. After about 15 minutes I decided to just take an extra dose and not have my whole day feel shaky. I know I was having bad dreams so I imagine that is where the anxiety is coming from. Everyone at work is sick from one thing or another and I had a bad cold myself over my vacation. Only now am I finally feeling over it and it's been almost three weeks. The man that owns the company I work for is 93 and very frail. The HR dept asks that if anyone even feels as though they are getting sick to go home. They do not want to risk the old man getting sick. No one listens..they all come to work anyway. People are so rude. I can just imagine what a cold that lasted me three weeks would do to someone who is 93.
I can tell my boyfriend is depressed at not finding a job but he has not started drinking again so far. I wish I could wave my magic wand and make more jobs available here but there is nothing I can do to help. He's keeping busy refinishing the cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms so at least that is a plus.
Since my real father contacted me two years ago on my birthday he has been communicating more and more by email. I am still not sure how I feel about it. He chats and acts like there was never a gap...like he didn't miss most of my life. He emailed me some pics of him today. I did not even recognize him. He doesn't look anything like the person I remembered from my childhood. I last saw him when I was thirteen...that WAS quite a few years ago.
If any of my DS friends are reading this I hope that you all know I have been thinking of you and wishing you well in spite of my absence here. Since the holidays I have been playing video games and knitting like crazy. I have definitely been lacking in self discipline for sure. With my boyfriend home taking care of everything at the house it has almost been like being on vacation for me and I have been goofing off a lot. Sometimes I think the video gaming is like a coping mechanism though...losing myself in a game I don't overthink things. My anxiety for the most part has been pretty low with only a few days where I felt bad so I guess it works ha ha.
All for now....big hugs to everyone.

Sounds as though you\'re in a bit of a holding pattern on some things.
Keep at it and stick around here a while.
