My precious Steve
Hello everyone,
Hard times have come to our home. The past several months have been a nightmare, only our faith has kept us going.
Steve had his remaining kidney out in October and developed severe complications. His lymp system stared leaking in his stomach. We spent 30 days in the hospital with one thing after another happening. 30 days I slept on the couch in his room. Thanksgiving came and went and we came home the week before Christmas. The family got together and we had no food nor drink, just family time.
The cure for his complication was no food. Only ice chips. He was fed through his veins so as to let the stomach heal! He was strong and got through it but it was absolute hell. Most of you know that I am diabetic so that was a problem in itself. No way was I going to eat in front of him, so I would slip into a little waiting area to eat. It was always so cold in there.
He is doing better, taking dialysis three times a week. He has some problems with that but we deal with it one day at a time. He must get much better before he can have any more treatment.
Thank you for the prayers and hugs.
Love to all, Wanda
I pray each of you are doing ok. I feel like I have failed so many of you by not being here for you.
Ingrid's husband Ray is not doing well. We talk often, by email, we talk about our "meltdowns" or the times we just can't handle all that is going on. So many of you have already been there. I have such great admiration for you.
I know I have rambled, I'am sorry.
Till next time,
Wanda

Wanda, sweetie, you are doing such a great job. Please don\'t be so hard on yourself. Your precious Steve needs you with him at the moment. Hopefully, he will get stronger and the dialysis will be easier for him. You and Steve are constantly in my thoughts, as are Ingrid and Ray.
Love you, Wanda. xxxxxx
My Dear Wanda,
I am so thankful that we have eachother during these difficult times. Really am glad that y\'all were home for Christmas, even though there were no \"goodies\" around. Steve is such a trooper, and has endured so much. Without God\'s help, thee is no way any of us could face another day. I\'m always here for you, sweet friend. I love you!
Dear Wanda,
Don\'t you dare apologize to ANYone! You have not \'failed\' in any way, shape or form. How could you even think that after the nightmare your lives have become. My thoughts are with you and wish that there was something that I could do or say that would be helpful. Just know that your strength is infinite and no matter what it is not in your control. It will unfold just as it is ordained and no humans can change it. You can only stay the course.
Hope 2014 will bring some peace to your lives.
Gloria
Wanda, it\'s been one heck of an end to 2013 for you two. I know that you find so much strength through The Lord our God and for that I am so grateful. I hope that resting the stomach will help improve things. Please take better care of you. Your diabetes is something that has to be delicately balanced. Food , fluids, and sleep plus stress can mess you up. I am just learning about all this as I was diagnosed last fall. I pray for you both daily as well as Ingred and Ray. You are in my thoughts at all times. Hugs and love Jane
As always, everyone here is thinking of you and praying for all those fighting these ailments. I wish I could help all of you but remember, I\'m a good listener. You are handling this far better than I ever could. Keep the faith as I feel God is watching over all of you.
Dear Wanda, I have been thinking of you and Steve often wondering how you are doing, praying that you are finding the courage to face each day. It is a relief to finally hear news, though it is difficult to read about all these challenges Steve and you have had to face. .I am really hoping that Steve\'s condition will stabalize enough so that he can get some treatment for the cancer. No matter what, your road will continue to be a difficult one to walk. You and Steve are so brave and courageous. I will keep you both in my prayers and in my heart. Love to you my friend, Linda
Thank you my friends I love you all!!! I miss you
Dearest Wanda I am so glad to hear from you. You and Steve are always in my prayers. What a struggle you are having, but there is no failure ANYWHERE in what you are saying and doing. You are a fabulous source of strength, and Steve is so very lucky to have you to lean on. Hoping and praying that you have many moments of peace together in this New Year, and that Steve begins to regain his strength. You will surprise yourself in what you are able to do, and to be, but at the same time I hope that you feel able to ask for help when you need it.
With love and blessings to you both,
Meriel xxxx
Wanda, Have had many computer problems and was off line for quite a while. When I went back on I was so glad that MsGrace kept us up to date about you and Steve. The four of you have been through so, so much. You are all in my prayers. Please don\'t think you have let us down by not writing more often. We understand what your priority is. May God bless you and bring relief to Steve very soon. Love, Andrea
