My new norm
I strongly dislike life right now. I'm unemployed by getting fired from my job as a teacher...I've been denied unemployment and am trying to appeal it. My dad is in the hospital and am home with my mom. I don't get along with her and she is emotionally/verbally abusive. She used to be physically abusive but not for years. My biggest fear was something bad happening to my dad and it has happened. So it makes my anixety and panic feel validated. I have a hard time being positive and my thoughts are negative. I have severe panic to the point where I feel out of control and I will die. I'm stuck in my head too much and it's so hard to explain to people. If I go out I am anxious and my mind harbors some plague that I'm not ok. I don't know how to get rid of that feeling! I feel trapped. I have no close friends... I'm never at ease although I'm on medication. I hope one day I can look back on this and learn that all is well.

Ok trying to control ones breathing is a good first tool to help with anxiety/panic. Retreat behind a defensive barrier for those mental emotional attacks from mother. All you can do is try to exhibit control over yourself. On other tools a funny movie or favorite book are gr8 places for a mental retreat. Exercise is another good outlet for that anxiety if you can be in a safe environment that won't trigger more symptoms. Blessings
I know this feeling you speak of. We have become close friends lately...this feeling of panic. I wish I had some sound advice other than trying to breathe through it. Many Hugs my friend.
