My Father Passed Away
My father passed away about an hour ago. He was quiet and restful in the bed, and he passed in his sleep. He was 74 years old and a 30-year vet like his son. The funeral arrangements were all prepaid years ago, so there are not many plans to be made. My wife and I need to travel home (cross country) for the funeral. I talked to him on the phone a few days ago he said that it was time for him to go and he wanted to say goodbye. He was a good man that raised me right. I leaned honor and commitment from him. I will miss him a great deal.

I am so sorry for your loss. I wish I could think of something profound to say. He sounds like a very good man. I hope that you can remember him with smiles and laughter. That the good memories will outweigh the bad and that you can have the courage to celebrate his life and your relationship. Thinking of you.
Sorry for your loss, Thor. I'm so glad you can hold on to his legacy now even as you grieve. I didn't have one of those dads, mine was a faith healer caught up in church fraud who ended life fallen from grace. It's so great that you learned honor from your father, so very great. Hold on to that as you travel cross country to and from his funeral and think of him, my friend. We're with you every step of the way.
