my body hates me

I'm overweight. Thankfully, I'm not horribly obese, but I can see 200 lbs just up the road. I used to be over 50lbs lighter. I started eating when I got trapped in a toxic job with an abusive boyfriend. For over a year I had nowhere to go. I ate and drank at every chance just for the comfort.
Eventually things did get better. I got a new job where I'm much happier, but the habit stuck and my body continued paying the price. I finally dropped the drinking and curbed the eating. Yet the weight stayed. I used to work in health food so at first I wasn't worried. Still I failed. I tried harder and failed. To this date I have tried a dozen diets, half a dozen exercise routines, and several supplements. No matter what I try I never lose more than 5 lbs, which come back. I even juice fasted for a week and I lost 1lb.
I went to the doctor, practically praying for a hormone problem, but nope. I'm so sick of being overweight! Everytime I look for help I'm treated like....well, I don't want to be rude. I know everyone is just trying to help. I'm just so angry at all the effort I've put in and I get nothing. I even make jokes about it. "If I quit eating my body would just learn to photosynthasize! I'd get fat on sunlight" *head desk*

I\'m sure you get tired of either thinking it or people saying, just do this, or do that. I need to drop some weight, yet I never really do anything when it comes to the exercise part. I don\'t have any great ideas to share, but to say, don\'t be too hard on yourself, and take small steps. A little change here and there, means a pound here and there. This of course means good changes. I once just gave up drinking cokes and was surprised what it helped on the scales. Hang in there and know you have support. Hugs!

Thankfully I don\'t have a sweet tooth. I obviously make up for it in other ways, but generally my diet is pretty healthy. I\'m not gaining weight anymore, I just can\'t budge what I\'ve got. At this point my family and co workers are genuinely astounded at my inability to lose weight on diets. I might be breaking some laws of science. My body appears to be completely happy to remain the same regardless of what I give it.
