Much calmer today

Super exhausted after yesterday's anxiety so went to bed early and felt like I slept well.  As the alarm went off and I woke up Remi started to wag her tail and Momma cat rolled upside down and started grabbing her tail...nice to start the day with a laugh...then when I laughed Remi started wagging harder and smacked momma and she jumped off the bed.  They are too funny.
I got home and he had been drinking but was being super sweet.  He showed me the pic of the baby I made the blanket for with her new blankie..another satisfied customer lol.

Yesterday was our white elephant exchange.  Here it is an ugly lamp....referred to as "the Lady"  I was the lucky recipient last year.  The rules go that the winner keeps it in their office all year and must do something to change it before putting it back into the gift exchange.  Here's the before:

she's quite tacky...half nude and someone had given her pasties previously that were now falling off.  I decided she needed a makeover.  I said she would be the belle of the ball so I made her a christmas gown. This is the first year people said they actually wanted to receive her LOL.

at least she is clothed now. 
Although he was very sweet and said he was tired too and he was going to come sleep in the bedroom so I would not be alone ..when I got out of the shower he was out on the couch again.  I had a feeling he was close to going out so it really wasn't a surprise.  I think he means it when he says he will do these things..just the alcohol getting in the way again.
