MRI results
Just a quick note to let you know that Doc got the results back from the MRI and I do not have a tumor. However, I do have an ailment called Meniere's Disease. It causes deafness in one ear and debilitating vertigo. I am now taking medication for this disease. I am not complaining as it could have been much worse.
Thanks to everyone for your concern. It always lifts my spirits to know that I have YOU out there that cares. Love, Katrina

Katrina, that is wonderful news! That is a relief I am sure. I have a close friend who has Meniere\'s and he is able to manage well despite the diagnosis. He is able to drive and his symptoms are tolerable. I hope the medication helps and that you are feeling much better very soon! Love, Linda

Dear Katrina: My girlfriend has that but she never went deaf just that buxzzing in her head and the vertigo. My husband had to go to ER that he was having a heart attack he was sweating and the room was just spinning. and he threw up he was in hospital 4 days vertigo. I know alot of people with that. I hope you start feeling better. taking the medication. Bless your angel hugs and love mary ann
Prayerful and hopeful that the medicine helps and grateful to know that it is not a tumor. I had a neighbor in Salt Lake whose mom had it and she coped quite well. She had her days when it was more acute, yet was on medication and able to do most of the things in life that she wanted to.
Chronic vertigo is a hard one as my late mom had it and I could just look at her and knew when she was having a rough day. Hers was caused from being administered anesthesia too quickly because she had an ulcer that was perforating.
Please take care and I knew that this week you would be hearing and thank you for letting us know that you did.
(Wow, still grinning over your being smack dab in the middle of ten children as number five and I\'m sure you never have felt lonesome. Many places to visit that is for sure and love to be found.)
Gentle care dear Katrina and you know I often think of those two beloved fur babies of Jason\'s. Our Sadie is with Doug now and I think of her tail wagging and jumping into his arms and knocking him over as she was a big girl. Part Lab and Shepherd. :)
Much love and continued healing (((hugs)))
XO Joanie
I\'ve heard of that,,,, prayers for you and ((hugs)))
Katrina, hope the medication helps and I am also grateful that it was not a tumor. People that have never had vertigo can not imagine what a terrible feeling it is. I also have that ringing in my ears and sometimes it is worse than other times. Hope you are feeling better soon....Nell
Great news that this is not a tumor. Hope the meds work their magic. Hugs, Kathy

Phew - I don\'t suppose Meniere\'s Disease is a walk in the park but nothing compared to a tumor, so that\'s great news. Good luck with the meds - hopefully they will keep everything under control for you. It\'s probably a relief just to know what\'s going on. Take care ~ Joanna x
I do hope the meds work. Live is like a bowl of cherries (as the saying goes).
Keep your spirit up
tight hugs Penny
I\'m so glad to hear you have a diagnosis and now you can figure out what to do. Best of luck, Laura
My mom has that and my husband but was not told it caused deafness.
