Monday-short week
I am glad to see that DS is whole once again. If only this could make all of us whole. It is the strangest feeling today..I am full of energy and yet sad. Sad that this will be a short week ...not looking forward to the 4 day weekend. Too much time...not enough to keep mind busy..it's usually not a good combo. He and I have so little in common we like to do together anymore. The fog is here. It was like pea soup on the way to the gym this morning. I have no desire to shop at all..I am already dreading christmas.

I dread Christmas, too. Of course, my organization is religiously based...and I don\'t mind that really...but I got sick of the Christmas theme long ago.
Plaese do not believe all the false advertising about the \"holidays\"!!!
Its a tough time of year and not the time to expect to much from yourself. Eric
a lot of sad/bad things have always happened around the holidays. Years ago my ex-husband threw me out of the house on Christmas eve..ever try to find a storage place open on xmas eve? It becomes so material...now that the girls are not little anymore I find it hard to get into it. The days of being able to buy lots of cheap toys are over for sure lol. Now we say...hey girls what do you want for xmas and they take their ipods out of one ear and say...eh...gift cards or whatever. Teenagers LOL
I have made Christmas into something more. I use it to celebrate the birth of Jesus. I make sure my children know the meaning. That is the first thing we do on Christmas morning. I look forward to seeing my parents, having them close. The fun of the Holidays, I love Christmas music, I love the happiness it can bring. I love trying to help others and at the same time helping myself.
I love being alive to celebrate another day.
I think it\'s a bit a twist of mind for us to place any particular significance on any day of the year.
They\'re all significant because we won\'t get to live them again. There\'s something about our sense of Omnipotent Control that causes us great delusion to think that this is going to go on forever.
The basis of our pain is in the relational pain we\'ve experienced and the pain that life, overall, can bring to all of us.
You\'ve got to break free from that and cling to reality in it\'s purest form possible.
Just think, more than half the world doesn\'t celebrate Christmas.
I love the Christ of Christmas...and that\'s enough for me.
you are right...if it were not for the kids I would just skip the whole thing lol
