Guest Speaker 6/12/2015 Mark McDonald:
I liked a lot of what Mark McDonald shared
Going to work on following his idea for the next 7 days.
Try this for 1 week.
Fit in some exercise.
Baby steps still lead to the top. Instead of trying to get the weight off all at once, set small goals. Instead of saying you have to work out 30 minutes 5 days a week, agree to work out say 5 minutes 3 times a day 3 days a week.
Work on lowering my blood sugar
Eating in 3s * went kind of fast so I didn’t get a good list… will look online…
Protein focused;
raw nuts, sesame seeds,
meat based; tuna, chicken, turkey, fish,
Greek yogurt, cottage cheese
plant based; carrots, cucumbers, asparagus, spinach,
Berries, oranges, grapefruit,
And keep in mind the eating non starchy vegs in abundance and fermented things like sourkraut... also grapefruit as I know those help cut fats...

Sounds like a very smart plan.
Sounds healthy to me and I\'m glad you are finding information and a plan that you can do. Baby steps for sure and all in a positive direction. :)
Heartfelt (((hugs))) of care,
XO Joanie
Ugh...sounds easy but I get stressed and go straight for the carbs, lol.
Positive steps on your journey. Keep up the good work!!!
Sounds like an awesome plan! I know when we look at the big picture, it can be to overwhelming, so breaking things down into smaller pieces helps! My brain doctor just told me this as well....to not focus on my whole day, just the next 1/2 hour or so. And I think it\'s important for us to \"forgive\" ourselves when we \"mess\" up!
Sending lots of positive vibes your way my friend!
Small steps - it is a great philosophy!
I don\'t believe in cutting out any food groups i.e. carbs. But we now eat mostly vegetables rather than bread etc. I also eat red meat, but in moderation.
I think you are going to be healthy and svelte when I see you!!
Love and hugs,
Marlene
Good luck, my friend. I am still drinking my health drink for lunch and cutting back on food in general. Have you decided what type of exercise you will try??
((((HUGS)))), Julia
Small steps and one day at a time - the good old AA mantra. It seems to work for many things in life! You can do this - you already have been through the hardest thing possible. YOU can do anything:) Joanna x
I love how you are applying how each speaker resonates with you. Sending you love and hugs.
Best of luck! You can do this!
