Lupus Rash????
The rash on my eyelids and chin came back with a vengeance. I couldn't get an appt to see my pcp until June 16, so I went back to Blanchfield and saw the "advice" nurse. She looked at my rash, pulled up my files, and immediately got on the phone requesting that the ophthalmology make time to see me. Long story short .... the Opth. Dr. thinks my rash may be Lupus related and she insisted that I see a rheumy. Just what I need ...... another symptom of a disease that I don't officially have. The Opth. Dr. did give me 2 meds that are helping, so far ......... The development of the rash also coincides with how tired and achy I've been feeling lately.
On the up side, our strawberries are doing great this year. We only have a small patch, but we are getting an abundant yield. Tim did most of the work, but we've made 3 batches of jam, frozen enough berries to make 2 more batches, and gave away 3 gallons. I made a strawberry cream pie Saturday ...... the same day I made meatloaf, potatoes in cheese sauce, peas and carrots in ginger sauce, and buttered yeast rolls. I ate, but I was too tired to care what it tasted like! I didn't eat any pie .... pat me on the back for sticking with my diet. I make have to make myself a sugar-free version, though!

Now, I\'m freakin hungry! See what you\'ve done???? I LOVE strawberries and anything you can do with them. My mom used to make up a batch of mild, strawberries and sugar, blend it all, then pour it over biscuits! That was Sat. night dinner! LOVED IT.
Now I have to add meatloaf and potatoes to make my memory worthwhile. Jeepers. PIE: :::???? Yes, I want pie too! I\'m hungry. Daggnabbit! xo
Ditto! That sounds yummy! :)
I\'m sorry about your rash. And having to deal with another perplexing symptom. I hope you get some more definitive answers soon. Glad the meds are helping though. I imagine that\'s a rough place to have a rash!
Big hugs...
I\'m glad that the meds are easing the rash some..........and I\'m glad that you have an advice nurse to consult with.........hoping that you\'ll be able to get in to see a rheumy and find out what is causing this.........it\'s not easy to take on additional illnesses hon, I know, but i also know that it\'s better to find out, make a plan and keep opening doors that will help you have the best life you can with more managed symptoms. soft, plentiful hugs........
i wasn\'t hungry til i read about your cafe menu...........it might be worth the drive to monky to set a spell at your dinner table..............holy deliciousness........your menu has my mouth watering! but i can see that you are overdoing it too..........and hope you get some rest time regularly!!!!

I\'m hungry too..naughty Nancy you need to figure out a way to send some of that food over the internet.
So you have been tested for Lupus before? At least Lupus is treatable. Wouldnt it be nice to be able to manage our situation?
How frustrating! If you do definitely have lupus, I hope the doctors can develop an effective treatment plan for you. Sure would love some of your fresh picked strawberries!
