Long a$$ day

I made it through my work day today without getting too horribly fatigued. My back pain returned, but only mildly. After I picked up the kids it was time for homework for all of us. I sometimes refer to the initial time at home as the homework/snack chaos b/c they will run all over the house to avoid starting homework. It takes about 20 minutes of me repeating myself to get them to do what they are supposed to do. By then I"m mildly frustrated. Today I was thinking "hey, I might get two chapters read if I get started quick!" Ha! I need to read a lot more than two for class, but two is good for today. When I'd almost reached the end of the first chapter, I could feel good ol' Dozy coming for a visit. So I gave in and decided to rest. But the kids were against me. They finished their homework and started running helter-skelter all over the house, being noisy, yelling, and generally keeping me on the brink of sleep with no rest. I was ready to throttle them!* Then hubby finally got home to take them out for the daily walk. He's so helpful--but naive. "OKay, honey, we're going out. You can get your 20 minutes of sleep now." Right. As if Dozy hadn't already scampered off to someone else's house. (Hopefully to one of y'all's houses I hope!) He still thinks that sleep is something to be started at one's command. Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! But at least I'm getting dinner made. It's a freezer meal with toast and raw baby carrots, but beats fast food.

* I would never actually throttle them, or hurt them in any way, but if you haven't imagined doing this to your kids at some point it's because you don't have any. IMNSHO.

Holy cow! I don\'t know how ANYONE survives CFS with kids. They seem to, but I just can\'t imagine it! You must give your selves medals of honor, every day, for being a MOM and coping with CFS. All of you out there with kids - you are heroines and heroes!! May we find a cure soon!!!

Amen to that!!!^^^^

Other than the noisy kids and naive husband (yeah, where is HIS -- or MY -- \"Sleep Now\" button??), and of course living with the rotten disease, sounds like you had a good day -- well, productive and not too much pain. That\'s good...
I don\'t know how you do it with kids. But I *have* imagined throttling my child. I can do that because I have one.

You have to be \"super mom\" between your job, your schooling & your boys as chronic illnesses can sure get the better of us at times.

Y\'all are sweet. Yes, it\'s hard. I thought motherhood was hard before this disease took over my life. What little I knew! But, like anything else, it has good days and better days.
