like em but

Ok, so here goes.  yesterday one of the mothers I'm working with comes to DSS with her kid,  Mom is disabled, their having car trouble, money trouble, and she tries to take care of self, 2 kids, 8 and 10, and her husband's grandmother who has alziemers and her father who just had a massive heart attack.  Mom brings the 8 year old to DSS, which is a small office,  with front/lobby has windows all the way across, parks in handicapped space, in front of window in lobby,  walks in to get a gas voucher so she can take her kid to doctor, and the 8 year old says she wants to sit and wait in the truck while mom picks up the voucher because 8 year old is playing on telephone.  Mom is watching out the lobby window and sees 3 women gather around the window of the truck and talking to 8 year old.  One of those women is my supervisor.  Mom goes out to tell her 8 year old it will only be a few more minutes and to see why those women are there, and my supervisor tells her no  it won't that she can't leave an 8 year old sitting in a car alone.  So there was a big cadoo about this grave behavior, yet when I have meeting with a family where there is some serious domestic violence, with a highly volatile, angry and violent man who is also a father she sits there with her fucking mouth shut and I do all the talking and all the confronting while she just sits there pale and scared looking.  Then today she sitting with younger workers bragging about the two words she did manage to say to this man,  like she was all big and bad.  I'm like WHAT EVER.
