My plan to be quite and not spend is soooo NOT working! You will recall the water debacle for which I got no relief so I am strapped with some very large payments for the next 7 months. Ironically on the day I went to make the first payment I got up, turned on my taps and .. no water. Not me only, occasionally the pump fails and the entire community is out of water, this was one of those days. Really!?!
Fast forward a few weeks, I am now trying to sort out my electrical crisis. Woke up about 11pm one night to find one of my light sockets literally on fire. I had to disconnect it myself. I called the power company who fixed a defective part on their service line.. problem got worse.
Called my electrician who tried a few things then decided that the issue was with the power company. Called the power company again, they fixed something else.. again the situation worsened. All the food in my fridge is spoilt, I can't iron, I am miserable... Power company says the feed into my house must be defective.
Called my electrician again, he can't get to the power feed into my house which is buried underground and nobody knows where. So we go out and spend a hefty chunk on supplies so he can rerun the feed. He's hallway there and he checks the power line .. nothing. Call the power company again.
By this time its 7 pm on the third day of this drama and I am EXHAUSTED. Finally I have the power company and my electrician onsite at the same time and between them they fix stuff so I have temporary power supply. YEAH! 30mins later there is a community wide power failure! I kid you not.
This dear folks, is life in my world.
I am at work today SO I CAN GET SOME REST!! The saga continues tomorrow....

Just reading this makes me want to scream. I did get a good chuckle out of your last line. You either have to laugh about it or go crazy. I can\'t believe after all that, that there was a power outage! I am sorry you are having such problems with your power & with your water bill. that\'s so crazy awful............i feel so completely and totally bad for you, seriously that is just life being stinky and unfair and blotto. it just ain\'t right.........maybe we should go live in huts ..... sigh, why can\'t stuff just work? so sorry this all happened to poor dear wonderful you.......hugs, ruthie

Lol So terrible I had to laugh. I really appreciate life, but it can be interesting. It\'s like you got put onto a roller coaster ride and all the time you\'re trying to say no, I don\'t like roller coaster rides.
