life lesson
short but sweet... I was so angry and disappointed in danny this weekend, he was supposed to help scrape the area I want to repaint outside the house, I cant reach the higher areas. he did maybe a total of an hour, when questioned he said it was hard!
when I went back out in the afternoon, I thought about the word hard and what does it really mean. it is used often. I went back in, called danny down and talked to him about hard.
I told him what I viewed as hard.. I said that miracle as it is and I love you, giving birth is hard, losing 2 babies to miscarriages is hard, losing your father and the love of my life is hard, raising the 3 of you alone was hard, fighting demons you know nothing about is hard. I then said that when we say hard that I thought it is usally a pain, inconvient, difficult, time consuming, exhausting but not hard, we can do it, just like scraping the paint, it isn't hard, just time consuming but it doesn't change your life. all he said was oh, that is where all this led to was scraping!
I thought I said god things, he just doesn't get it and I also told him I hope life doesn't throw you many hard things and that you get to experience having your own child. oops I forgot, when he came down he put the t.v. on!

thats great that you expressed your opinion to danny. that would have been hard to do i imagine and even if it didnt go as you had hoped at least you have said what you wanted to say. Hopefully he will reflect on what you have said and decide to help you.

*hugs* Sometimes when people don\'t go through a lot of hard times have trouble appreciating the work. Lisa says that cleaning the daycare is easy, I would see it as hard. she has been doing stuff like that her whole life and is used to it. It\'s just a question of history. *hugs*
true, but there is stll hard and then there is hard, know what I mean? difficult indeed.
