kitty

Sorry to anyone who's been waiting on me for anything and anyone who will be in future. My kitty is still so sick. Just as she was improving she caught a huge respiratory infection. She's getting the very best care my vet and I can give her but right now I'm feeling demoralized. She's my best buddy and she's just so miserable...and skinny. She barely got back to eating before getting knocked down again. It's starting to get to me and I'm feeling really down.

Thank God and goodness. I am very happy to hear she is better. Did you find out what made her so sick?

The vet thinks it was the medicine our first vet gave her, so we switched medications. But then she caught a respiratory infection from going to all these appointments. She is older and was already very skinny from her hormone problems, so it was all very dangerous for her. But she\'s a trooper and we toughed it out (my hands haven\'t quite healed yet. Having to pill an angry cat twice a day can be rough). She\'s feeling much better now and is putting weight on.

I\'m glad for you and kitty. I have tried liquid drops when I had to medicate my cats. But they may keep it in their mouth and spit it out when you let them go. I also wrap my cats in a towel or blanket so as not to get scratched. I tried hiding pills wrapped in a small ball of liver sausage. It worked for awhile. Eventually liver sausage was gone and pill was spit out. They can make fruit flavored medicine for children, why not fish or chicken flavor for cats? Hope kitty continues to improve.
