Keeping Busy

Happy Mother's Day. I had a really difficult week and knew that this weekend was going to be especially hard. Today will be the first Mother's Day without my beautiful Momma.  She passed away unexpectedly and too young. I knew that I had to remain very busy this weekend so that I could not run to the casino to gamble because I want to just escape the sadness. So Friday night I made plans to go to dinner with my sister (she is so used to me breaking my promises).  Normally I would be not want to spend any money so I could save it for Saturday to go gambling after my young daughter went to visit her father for the night. I was happy I made the decision to go to dinner. It felt normal. The urge to gamble on Saturday was still strong and I was worried. So right there at dinner I promised my sister to spend the day with her on Saturday. And come Saturday I made good on that promise.  We spent the morning at the flower mart and then went shopping for her daughter's promotion dress. It has been months since I shopped for anything since all my money was being used to gamble. Again it felt normal. Then my dad took my sisters and brother out for dinner to celebrate Mother's Day without any kids (wow not an easy task with 17 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild). But we managed and had a wonderful dinner in which we all dedicated to my Momma. Now today I will spend the day with my kids. Going to church, then to lunch, then to the cemetery to visit my Momma.  I hope everyone has a busy GF day. xoxoxo Chargergirl

I\'m a little sad without my mother, too, but we stayed busy yesterday. I actually barbecued for my local family. that was fun.
today, church, and we will visit the cemetary.

Have a beautiful day with family. that is much better than being in a stinky casino...
