It's Saturday
I have not accomplished much today. I've been lying around enjoying the beautiful weather which means I'll have twice as much to do tomorrow. Just don't have the ambition today to do anything. The good news is my son is coming over to help me out doing some things around the house. He starts his new job on Tuesday and he is so excited it's comforting to see him so happy.
I took myself out to dinner last night and had a good time talking with everyone at the bar. It takes my mind off all the bad things going on in my life. I haven't been able to find my job openings to apply for and it makes me feel trapped in the job that I have now that is so boring and unsatisfying. I guess it's where I'm supposed to be for now.
I'm praying for a better day tomorrow.

It is ok to not want to do much on the weekend. Shoot, I do it all of the time LOL. Know what is funny, I know 4 people now that have gotten new jobs (that includes your son). Regarding your job, they always say you will find a new one when you are working vs. not working and looking for a new job. I think that is perhaps we are not desperate when we know we have a job and don\'t apply to EVERY job posted with hopes of \"just maybe\" or applying via the internet when a million other people are applying too. A friend of mine told me that her company pays really well and that sometimes they will get 1500 resumes for one position. That is insane but also why so many people can\'t find a job. Who has time to even read that many. I think the best way to find a job is thinking outside of the box. Example, if there is a company that does what you/we do instead of emailing a resume either call and find out who the person is first, then once you find out the person\'s name, call back (they won\'t remember your voice if you call a few days later). then when you call again, state that Mr. So and So called you and left his/her email address on your voicemail but you couldn\'t hear it. Then email them directly LOL. Sneaky but that is how you get in. I\'m not talking about HR, I\'m talking about like a manager, the upper management people or the owner, if there is one. I also heard that some companies will actually throw out a resume if they see they are not working. That is kind of messed up considering how many good people were laid off. I know that I wasn\'t actively looking for a job or at least knew I needed one but since I was with the agency I know I would be ok (for the moment anyway) I knew I only had 2 weeks left before I had to quit the agency and start really looking hard. The job I got was nothing I ever in a million years would ever think of and never would have even bothered taking the time to see if they had any positions. They also say that people should look for a position that is part of what makes them happen in life. Mine is the fact I love people. But, that didn\'t help me in sales. I cared too much about the person and not making money. Go figure that one out LOL. The job I got is with an alarm company where when their home alarm goes off I am the one that will inquire about the emergency. Some calls will be because people forgot about setting or unsetting their alarms, but I was told that some of the calls are pretty bad. Not as bad as calling 911 but not great calls. They even have an onsite counselor for my department should a really bad call comes in and emotionally gets to you. Maybe you could write a list of things you love to do in your personal life and see what type of work would include at least part of what you enjoy. So....Good for all 4 of us! I had a shitty day today with the crap with my mom but now I feel a bit better and I agree - here is to a better day tomorrow. Love you - hugs!
