Interesting Day
I've been weaning myself off of ibuprofen since last Friday. I realized that I'd been taking it nonstop for over a year and now I have leaky gut.. So now I want to heal my gut. But I'm having to deal with physical pain with Traumeel and Arnica which aren't nearly as effective. Anyway, I was feeling tired an hour after getting out of bed this morning. But I decided to push myself to do some things I really wanted to do. I drove to Wimberley in the morning to attend a meeting for another support group I participate in. Then went out to the cabin in the beautiful countryside. After eating lunch and relaxing all I wanted to do was lay down. My body was in pain and I was tired. But I actually pushed myself to go out for a short, easy bike ride. I felt so much better after that ride. My depression lifted - no duh - got those endorphins working. Even though I'm really tired now, at least I'm happier. Yea for endorphins.

Wow... very impressive! Good for you!
It\'s good to hear from you. I turn to Ibuprofen for pain too, but it was aggravating the gastritis, so I had to scale it back. I can empathize with the pain. Not much else helps it, but I\'m glad you didn\'t let it get you down. Onward and upward!
Staying connected to people helps tremendously. It is so easy for me to isolate and sink into depression. But I have the tools to not let that happen very often. Get on this website and talk with supportive people like you all, call a friend, help someone if my energy allows.
It\'s difficult weaning ourselves off drugs.I have just spent a few days trying to sleep without sleeping tabs and couldn\'t sleep at all for two whole nights.I take them for short periods but then the side effects are terrible and I have to get off them.Sounds like your energy is quite good . I\'m happy for you that you can get out and about and have some quality of life.Wow even a bike ride...sounds like fun.The country drive to the cabin sounds relaxing too.Good that all those activities lifted your depression.Love and peace xo
Dear Friends, please take a look at the profile picture I have posted of the Blanco River in Wimberley. That scene no longer exists. Late at night on May 23 a huge wave of water ripped through the Blanco River taking everything in its path. 500 year old trees broken or uprooted. Houses swept away - some with people in them. Luckily there were not too many deaths from this horrific flood, but even one death is too much. Many hundreds of homes were destroyed. I\'m sure you\'ve all seen in on the news - the flood even mad the BBC.
Larry and I were lucky because our house was the only one that was not damaged or destroyed along our stretch of the river. There were volunteers at our neighbors\' house yesterday pulling out all the ruined appliances, furniture, wood, drywall, etc. I worked outside for a little while, but the heat forced me to quit. With CFS I can\'t handle the heat and sun here in Central Texas. I\'m so grateful that all of my friends and neighbors along the Blanco River are OK. I\'m so sad that the Blanco is not the beautiful river it use to be. I\'m still running on adrenalin right now, but starting to come down and crash. Rested most of the day today except for grocery shopping and cooking. Glad you all are still here. Sorry I\'ve been out of touch.
