If I unpack a couple of boxes a day.....

I literally still have about 100 boxes to unpack from my move into this house 3 years ago.  They are crammed in the garage and back 2 bedrooms.  I don't even know what's in them - Victor had packed them all when he moved me out of the house years ago and put everything on the front porch.  It's sort of traumatic/overwhelming going through them.  He was mad when he boxed everything up, so stuff is just thrown in the box haphazardly.   A lot of stuff is damaged.  Some because of the way it was packed and some from just getting messed up in storage (rats chewed on it). Also, I relive my manic episodes when I open the boxes because many of them contain items from my crazy shopping sprees (20 watches, tons of bubble bath products, a billion shoes that don't fit, etc.).  It just makes me cringe. I'm going to try to empty a couple of boxes a day.  I don't have a place for everything.  Most likely I'll be making some trips to Goodwill to get rid of some things.

The TalkSpace text therapy I'm doing with Amy is going ok.  I usually get a message from her one to two times a day.  She ask me questions like:
- What do I want to get out of therapy.
- What would I want to change in my life if I could
- What are my plans for the day
- Who am I close to

And so on.  She'll make comments on my replies.  One thing she made me feel good about was that she supported my recent purchase of furniture.  I told her part of the reason I was getting rid of the old stuff was it reminded me of my childhood which wasn't that great, and she said it's good to get rid of stuff with negative energy.  That's exactly how I feel too. Living in my childhood home with all it's furnishings has been a real bummer at times because it just reminds me daily of past turmoil.  As I've changed things out and made it more "my" home I've been feeling a little better.

Nothing else to report other than I'm listening to music for the first time in years. I downloaded some onto my iphone.  It's a mix of Christian, Celtic, Country and Rock.  I miss the built in sound system where I had speakers in every room.  Need to figure out an easy way to attach my iphone to me so I can carry my music from room to room.
