I wish I could understand

I am in so much pain! It has been 3 weeks today since I have spoke to my beautiful Marissa.4:59 PM to be exact. I just cannot understand why God chose to take my baby at 18 and let the criminal in the car walk away! I feel like I'm drowning and will never come out of this normal. I am praying for strength so that I can be a mother to Elizabeth and a wife to my wonderful husband. I keep seeing Marissa's face today and remembering what she was wearing the last time I saw her and that if her and Hanna could have just listened to me and went home when I suggested she would still be here with me! I love her soooo much and miss her with every part of me. My broken heart will never mend. Ever.

So sorry for your loss of your daughter. I know it feels like you can\'t, will never, survive. I know, I was devasted when my 22 yr old son was in a fatal car accident almost 6 years ago. Somehow we do survive, one foot in front of the other. Don\'t expect too much of yourself this early on the journey, breathe, be gentle with yourself. Sue xo

I completely understand. I am entering my 7th year since my son was taken from me. I can not say it will get better. It will always be there hovering. But I do know this. You have found the right group for support, advice and to just vent your anger and frustrations. You will also come to realize that you will not ever be the same person you were before. This kind of loss changes you. You now have to walk your journey and discover your \"New Normal\" Try not to put on a mask and deny it...that only makes things worse. I hope you are getting help with a really good grief therapist. Try to eat right and get some walks or other exercise to clear your mind if possible. Giant {{{{HUGS}}}} Mary=Matt\'s Mom/
