I was a little productive...
Well, I've had two days of this TalkSpace texting therapy. My therapist's name is Amy. It's not instant messaging by any means. She types some questions/ideas, then I see I've got a message in the app and I type my reply. Response time is a few hours. It's ok so far.
Amy has 34 years experience dealing with people who have depression, bipolar and PTSD. She is in the Philadelphia area and is a night owl like me. So far she seems very genuine and upbeat and nonjudgmental.
I was a little productive today. I paid bills, did laundry, and bought groceries. I actually bought food to prepare some meals and not just frozen dinners. I really need to clean house, but I can't get motivated.
I inherited my dads house 3 years ago and I'm still trying to get his and my step mom's stuff out and my stuff in. I have boxes everywhere still. I don't even know where a lot of my stuff is because Victor had packed all the boxes when he moved me out. It's kind of emotional unpacking them too because he was angry when he packed them and lots of stuff is broken or just messed up from being in storage for years (Rats chewed on it). I don't have a place for every thing either and it feels overwhelming.
It doesn't quite feel like "my" home yet. It feels like the home I grew up in as a kid, but at least I don't have a mortgage or rent :)
I went to Victor's for supper and tv this evening. If it wasn't for him I'd never leave the house. He's making a batch of blueberry wine and a batch of loquat wine. I helped him squish fruit.
Being at the old house makes me miss it sometimes. It still feels like my home and it still has a lot of my stuff in it. I put a lot of myself in that place when we built it and it's just hard to let go sometimes. He's only going to be there another year or two so not much longer.
