i should not have to choose

Last night Carlos was about fed up with Penny. Her nails grow really fast and it is very difficult to cut them. He got scratched a lot while playing with her and warned me that he might lose his temper with her someday and throw her....aka accidentally hurt her. He said soemthing needs to be done otherwise she is gone. she is just a kitten- thats how they are. He has a very LOW pain tolerance when it comes to nibbling and scratching, whereas mine is super high so I barely notice it. My body is full of scratches but it doesn't bother me. So I am going to try some new training approaches with her. He wants to declaw her but to me that is inhumane and cruel. He even said that it might come to that i have to chose between him or the cat. I will not choose between them.

I cried.  this is not fair.

Carlos is acting ridiculous making you choose between him and a cat. How old is he - 5? We declawed our cats, only the front paws to save our furniture. I know it is very controversial. Tell Carlos to not play with her - problem solved.

wow, carlos gets me angrier each time. wtf, penny is a kitten, that is what they do. hello carlos, dont play with a kitten if you dont want to get scratched. so childish and hurtful to make that ultimatum. i have 2 cats, had more over the years and have never declawed them. yes my furniture has suffered but my fear is if they get out they are defencless against an outdoor cat, and i just dont like the thought of it. stick to your guns!!!!!!

oh i am sticking to it! dson\'t you worry! she doesn\'t even scratch furniture!!! just her little scratching post!! and our hands when w\'re playing. she is such a well-behaved kitten- he just doesn\'t get that because he has never had a cat before
