I'm done with it all... It's time to let go & be happy
This past weekend I found out that one of my best friends is doing drugs again... She promised me, along with some of her other best friends that she wouldn't touch them ever again. I refuse to deal with this, I informed a couple of our mutual best friends and me and one of them decided we're done with it, we're not going to put up with it anymore, another friend of ours may decide to get involved, I'm not entirely sure.. I was talking to my new guy Kory this past weekend, we were going through questions from a board game (loaded questions-adult version) for fun, they're good discussion questions to get to know one another, and a question came up asking what baggage is a deal breaker, we were both stumped until I said "drugs." and he agreed. Drugs are one things that we refuse to get involved with, hard drugs, marijuana isn't a big deal, neither of us do it but we know people who do and we don't care.. but cocaine, E.. that we wont put up with. He's friends with our friend that is doing drugs again, and he's done with it too.. he actually told me he's considering telling her parents...my only concern is they may kick her out for it.. She's an adult, but her family is super religious, and fairly strict.. I'd just be concerned it's counter-intuitive; it could push her to do drugs even more... I've decided to detach myself from it entirely, drugs are not something I wish to be associated with and she is associating herself with the wrong crowd. She doesn't want and wont accept help.. so I'm done.
I also found out some infuriating information today... I was told that my best friend Scott told a couple of girls he knows that he could get them a cheap deal at a nail salon because he is seeing a girl that works there.....he's also seeing my ex girlfriend/best friend Jessyka. I flipped when I heard the news... The girl has been through an emotional roller-coaster already, and the last thing he needs is someone else screwing with her. I had to tell her..As a best friend. I told her I had heard a rumour/gossip, that it was likely not true but she had to know the truth. She appreciated my honesty, said I potentially saved her from something really bad...but I can't help but feel so incredibly horrible for telling her.. She was bawling her eyes out.. said she was going to confront him about it.. I know he's going to lie to her, he's going to say it's not true and likely flip out on me... I was happy for them, I thought they would make an extremely cute couple... Yes, I will admit, I still love her with all my heart.. and yes, I will admit, I have been in love with him for the past...mm.. 5 years? But that had absolutely nothing to do with it. I'm seeing Kory now, and I'm happier than I've been in so long, my feelings for them have absolutely nothing to do with my decision to tell her what I heard.. I just hate that I had to find out and I had to be the one to tell her. It breaks my heart making her cry..
I've noticed that I tend to have these 2am writing sessions... and quite often, 2am epiphanies.. I don't know why my creative juices start flowing this late at night, when I'm ready to go to bed and all I want is to sleep.. I guess it's when the world stops, everyone else is asleep so nothing new can develop and I can just get it all out.. write it all down.
I realize now that I never actually wrote a conclusion to the Andi-chronicles.. Unless I am mistaken I did write about her before.... hmm.... Well, I met this girl Andrea online, before Kory of course, and we were hitting it off quite well, things were going great, but then I got drunk and my friend decided to kiss me while she was completely hammered and I told Andi out of respect. Andi wasn't too happy about it, but appreciated my honesty, we weren't together by any means, we hadn't met and we wanted to get to know one another as friends before we actually started anything. Well the next morning I went for lunch with Kory, and then again dinner that night followed by star-gazing, which of course I did write about. I told Andi about it and she was really upset... She has trust issues. She lectured me about hanging out with people who get me to drink when I'm an alcoholic, said I should find new friends that understand me, and lectured me on the fact that my friends think it's okay to kiss me when they're drunk-which I never said it was okay. Andi and I ended things quite quickly, getting drunk that night messed me up, and I was in no way able to be with anyone, and I explained that to Andi and she said she wanted to stay friends and be a support person for me in my sobriety.. well... we don't talk anymore. Kory and I have been moving forward, we're not "officially" a couple yet, we're not jumping into anything serious, and I think I like it this way... As far as my family is concerned, he is my boyfriend, and his family refers to me as his girlfriend, but we're not actually together yet.
He makes me feel really good about myself, I feel safe and comfortable with him, like I don't have to hold back or hide anything or any part of me. He knows about my past, we've talked about it, and he's been so supportive of everything. He's really supportive of my sobriety too, though, like most people he's insistent on the idea that I'll be able to casually drink again one day.. I'm getting tired of people telling me that.. That I'll be able to have a drink and be okay, I tried that already, I had a drink and I didn't stop. If I drink again, I'll be more inclined to drink again, and again.. the more times I say it's okay to have 1 drink, the closer I get to that one day in which I drink and I don't stop. I can't let myself think it's okay to have a casual drink, because a casual drink for an alcoholic is the start to a walk down a really dark road... a road that I don't want to go down, not again.

Thanks Angel, I would never do drugs myself, ever. I know a couple people who have died, one from cocaine and another from heroine.. It\'s not something I will even be around. I have no desire to be around drugs, be associated with illegal activity or watch the people I care about kill themselves. It\'s too hard to watch that.. If she wanted help getting clean, I would be first in line to help her, but she doesn\'t have any desire to stop.
