I found it!

Hello SOTH - I can't believe I'm writing another journal - You all have become so special to me and I can't wait to tell you what I found!!!
I work at a middle school and tomorrow is the Renaissance Fair for 7th graders. It's an all day affair with horses, blacksmiths, weaving, parades, etc...Anyway my precious daughter, Jennifer, was involved with the Renaissance Fair for several years in her late teen years and early 20's. In going through some of her things, I found a box with her clothes that she wore - shoes, belts, hats, skirts, shirts...everything that SHE wore.... I also remembered that there was a photograph that I had found of her in one of her "outfits". The clothes I have had for 2 weeks now (some I can't wear - too small - some skirts, the elastic is rotten but there are several pieces that I can create an outfit for tomorrow...Yay!
Okay so that's not what I found - I have spent 2 hours looking for that photograph..I wanted to share with people at work tomorrow and I just wanted look at  my daughter in that picture...I wanted to look at this picture and just know she would be laughing at her mom with her renaissance clothes on. (especially since I never understood that whole era) - Isn't it interesting now at this time I can't wait to get to work tomorrow! Just knowing that it was a part of her life, I know she will be with me all day tomorrow....Oh my gosh, I am rambling again --- SO after 2 hours of looking for that photo I had given up. Of course there was some negative self talk telling myself "what kind of mom would throw a picture away?" I remembered a box of photos - old & new and GUESS WHAT? I FOUND THE PHOTO OF MY DAUGHTER WITH SOME OF THE GARMENTS I WILL WEAR TOMORROW.... I was so excited, then cried and cried---missing her so much.
I will take a picture of her in the photo and upload it so you can see....
((hugs)) and much love to you all tonite. Vicki

Oh Vicki. Jennifer led you to the photo! I know she will be with you tomorrow.
I remember Lisa wrote a note to Cevyn just after she was born - telling her that she was the best thing that ever happened to her. When I was in her house alone, I decided to go looking for the baby book that it was in. I hunted for ages and pretty much lost hope. I said out loud \"Lisa, please help me find it\". I looked one last time and there it was. I gave it to Cevyn. I know our kids are with us always, even when they seem far away.
Love and hugs,

Vicki, oh what we do to ourselves with the mom guilt! I had almost the same experience after Eddie passed away. I wanted to look at a picture of Ed and I the night of his senior prom. This was shortly after Ed left for Heaven. I would get something in my mind and then be on a mission. I just had to find that photo. After several hours and a huge meltdown with me saying, \"What kind of a mother loses her son\'s prom picture?!\" well I gave up and cried myself to sleep feeling I had once again let Eddie down. But I found it a day later right where it should have been and where I had looked but was in such a frenzy I couldn\'t even see it. What kind of a mom does these things? A mom who never expected her child to leave this world before us. A mom that is human. We are good moms, Vicki. Even when we can\'t find something like a photo..we did the best we could to parent Jennifer and Ed and they know and appreciate all we did and they know we love them. We have to learn to be more gentle on ourselves.
Your plan to wear some of Jennifer\'s clothes and go to the renaissance fair is a lovely way to honor Jennifer and stay connected to something she loved. You will look great and I am sure Jennifer is smiling. I agree with Marlene; Jennifer led you to that photo!
Much love to you and Jennifer, Linda

IT IS SAD BUT WHEN YOU FIND SOMETHING THAT WAS PART OF YOUR DAUGHTERS LIFE YOU JUST FEEL SO SAD. I LOST MY DAUGHTER TO FROM LUPUS SHE DIED A HARD DEATH 81 DAYS IN THE HOSPITAL. BUT I REMEMBER EVERYTHING I FOUND OF HERS I WOULLD CRY TILL I WAS SICK. I STILL CRY AFTER 10 YEARS BUT NOT AS HARD OR AS LONG. BUT I MISS HER SO MUCH. BLESS YOUR ANGEL JENNIFER BIG HUGS MARY ANN

I am smiling at your happiness on finding the photo. I absolutely LOVE the Maryland Renaissance Festival in Bowie. It is a 27 acre place that operates from August to October. I often wonder who maintains it during the rest of the year. It is not set up each year, it is always there. There is a jousting arena, a huge outdoor pipe organ and lots of booths. I will surely be thinking of Jennifer when I go this year. I don\'t dress for it but sure do love seeing those who do!
Peace.

I can feel your excitement in your words. I love Renaissance fairs. I have not been to one in years. Here in Central FL they do not have them like they do in south Fl. I would love to go to a fair......
